one of the coke vending machienes at UMC has the slogan "helping is thristy work" on the front. it made me wonder if people who don't care are less thirsty. or, do only people who drink coke care? what about people who drink, say ... (diet) pepsi? do they care less? perhaps it's a genetic thing: people who have a preference for other beverages aren't likely to go into helping professions. makes you think ...

well, none of us are perfect ... no, wait, i take that back. only one of us is prefect (see aforementioned uncle - at least in his own mind). so, dad, despite your complete lack of beverage taste, i love you, too.

thank you, lori, for that resounding, and only slightly self-serving, diet coke endorsement! you did supply me with an entire fridge full of diet coke in january and i will forever remain grateful.

Diet Coke is magic. People in the helping fields need a little magic to get throught their day. There is nothing more refreshing than opening a can of diet coke and breathing in the carbonated goodness.
