they say it's my birthday!

and my sister's! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to us ...

i hope she has as good a day as i did. first we slept in. well, lori was up at 7is cuz it's really 10ish for her. then lori and i went shopping and i got the cutest shorts and polo shirt at old navy. then we picked kali up at the airport and met mom and steph for dinner at the japanese steakhouse. i had sushi, which was awesome. and everyone had a ton of food. our cooker guy was pretty cool. our final food for the day was the dessert lounge, "something sweet." i was so full i couldn't eat anything, but we had great conversation and the family at the next table sang to me. they were there celebrating their daughter's birthday, too. i must have turned 6 shades of red (only 3 of which i can see) but it was really nice of them. then we stopped in at the local lesbian bar and i learned that wednesdays are "no purse nights." interesting. now we're home and gonna go swim for a bit before bed. i felt so lucky to hear from so many of the important people in my life. it really made the day special.
