My first day at
Compass Behavioral Health was on Tuesday! My official title is "Therapist" and I haven't stopped asking myself why they think I'm qualified to give advise to people with problems. I will be working with people who have both substance abuse problems and various mental health problems. It should be really challenging and rewarding. I will be co-facilitating 2 groups each day with the other therapist, Don, and I will be seeing each of my clients for individual counseling weekly. I also get to run the women's group each week and will have free reign to do whatever I think the group would benefit from. The program has a maximum of 15 clients, so my caseload will never get higher than 8. WOO! 8! How many social workers can say they have a caseload of 8?
