i met a woman today who is 99 years old. she'll be 100 in august. her "kids" are all retired; she's lonley because she's outlived all her friends and most of her family (including 2 husbands); and she believes she's lived a good life. but she's not ready to go yet.

aw... is she happy in her life, aside from being lonely? i can't imagine outliving everyone dear to me...
i wonder if anyone is ever truly "ready to go." even being lonely, there's still life...
