the newest additions to the family

so, i decided that because i seem to be able to keep a cat alive i might be ready to try my hand at a plant or two, despite not inheriting my dad's green thumb. of course, the cat meows (obnoxously!) when she's hungry or thirsty and bites when she wants to play. i thought i'd start small. at lowes i got some herbs that come with their own pots and soil. just add water and sun. they're actually growing! this is basil starting to sprout. there's also catnip and mint. keep your fingers crossed for me and all my new green friends.

did you create a color coded chart indicating in which quadrant each species would be planted to maximize water, sun and tilling time? this is the pre-requisite for a healthy garden, you know.
